New organs-on-a-chip platform to treat Parkinson’s disease

To set-up a platform which can be used for drug testing and disease modelling in the context of Parkinson’s disease.
The collaborative effort foresees to establish the use of on-chip solutions with integrated sensors for in vitro analysis. A particular focus is given to the modelling of biological barriers (blood-brain-barrier) and the resulting capability of several nanodrugs to pass these barriers to effectively target the brain model.
