EUROoCS-Summer School – Organ-on-Chip
Development and Application (11-15 September 2023)
The EUROoCS working group “Teaching & Training” is hosting the first EUROoCS Summer School as a joint venture together with the 3R-Center Tübingen for In vitro Models and Alternatives to Animal Testing. The 5-day training course takes place from September 11th to 15th, 2023 in Tübingen and features both lectures and laboratory hands-on sessions. In this interdisciplinary format, the participants will learn the underlying concepts and principles of Organ-on-Chip technology. The Summer School targets M.Sc., MD and PhD students that are beginning their research in the fascinating interdisciplinary field of Organ-on-Chip. Professionals from industry who want to learn about the basics and practice hands-on in lab are also welcome.

Program:
The program will start on September 11th at 8:30 am and will conclude on Sept 15th at 2:00 pm.

Venue:
The course will take place at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen in the south of Germany.

Accommodation:
Accommodation (four-bed room) is provided for PhD and master students from Sunday, September 10th to Friday September 15th, 2023 (5 nights) with breakfast and lunch at the Youth Hostel Tübingen.

Punt boat tour on the Neckar river
Application:
The course is limited to 24 participants. Participants will be selected according to the date of application, as well as their project description and motivation statement. These aspects will have to be filled out in the registration form (300 words max per topic). A distribution across countries and groups is also taken into account for the selection.
