Massimo Mastrangeli

Associate Professor at the department of Microelectronics of TU Delft

Massimo “Max” Mastrangeli is Associate Professor at the department of Microelectronics of Delft University of Technology (Delft, the Netherlands), where with his research group he is investigating the design and fabrication of innovative microelectromechanical organ-on-chip devices in the context of several national and European consortia.

After received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering from University of Leuven (Leuven, Belgium) in 2010 with a dissertation in microelectronic packaging by fluidic self-assembly, he conducted post-doctoral research at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland) in micro/nanoengineering, at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Belgium) in capillary micromanipulation, and at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Stuttgart, Germany) in small-scale soft robotics. Massimo joined the Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM) group at TU Delft in 2017, and is since 2014 guest lecturer at EPFL.
