Jacqueline van Engelen

Senior toxicologist and risk assessor at RIVM

Jacqueline van Engelen is working as a senior toxicologist and risk assessor at
the Centre For Safety of Substances and Products (VSP) at RIVM. She is currently coordinating the RIVM team working on occupational health and she is actively involved in various projects like alternatives for animal studies (Dutch roadmap towards animal-free regulatory safety testing, virtual human platform), early warning projects and Safe by Design. Jacqueline was manager of the RIVM unit for environmental health for 4 years and before that she managed the RIVM unit of kinetics and modelling. She has a background in
consumer safety and exposure assessment, was one of the founders of the
ConsExpo exposure model and has been a member of the EU Scientific
Committee for Consumer Safety from 2007-2013.
